Inside MAFSI 2026: Conversations That Matter

The 2026 MAFSI Conference in Palm Springs was packed with meaningful conversations, full breakout rooms, and a shared realization across the industry: rep agencies are managing more systems and more data than ever—but clarity is still the hardest part.

This year, BBB Techs was proud to be an active part of the conversation. Our CEO, Tim Blake, led three breakout sessions focused on helping rep agencies better understand their technology landscape, modernize reporting workflows, and see how ERP systems can truly support end-to-end operations.

Rather than talking theory, each session was grounded in real-world workflows, practical examples, and the challenges rep firms face every day.

BREAKOUT #1: Modern Tech Landscapes: The Core Systems that Rep Agencies Need

This session focused on helping firms make sense of the rep tech stack—without vendor hype or buzzwords.

Tim walked through how CRM, quoting tools, ERP, POS, inventory systems, email, and reporting platforms each play a specific role in the order-to-cash lifecycle. The emphasis wasn’t on buying more software, but on understanding what each system is meant to do, where it fits, and where it doesn’t.

Attendees left with a clearer picture of how activities, orders, inventory, POS feeds, commissions, and reporting should connect—making it easier to evaluate technology decisions based on workflow needs instead of feature lists.

BREAKOUT #2: Streamlining Reporting Workflows Leveraging Microsoft Copilot (AI), Data Visualization and Microsoft Fabric

Reporting overload was a common theme across the conference—and this session addressed it head-on.

Tim demonstrated how Microsoft Copilot can be used inside Excel, Teams, and Word to quickly clean data, summarize spreadsheets, generate reporting narratives, and build meeting agendas straight from real files. From there, the session showed how Microsoft Fabric and Power BI take those same data sources—sales, POS, inventory, and commissions—and automatically turn them into clean, consistent dashboards.

The takeaway was simple: modern reporting doesn’t require more manual work. With the right tools and workflows, teams can spend less time formatting data and more time acting on it.

BREAKOUT #3: Understand How an ERP Can Transform Your Sales, Purchasing, Inventory & HR Workflows

The final session zoomed out to look at how a modern ERP can serve as the operational backbone of a rep agency.

This discussion focused on how ERP systems unify sales orders, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, financials, HR, service, and reporting into a single source of truth. Tim shared examples of how this alignment improves inventory accuracy, strengthens commission tracking, supports POS and purchasing workflows, and gives leadership real-time visibility across the business.

The key message: when ERP modules work together, firms reduce manual effort, eliminate data gaps, and create a more scalable foundation for growth.

Booth Conversations & iPad Raffle

Outside of the breakout rooms, we had a great time connecting with attendees at our booth and hearing firsthand about what’s working—and what’s not—inside rep agencies today. To keep things fun, we also hosted an iPad raffle, which sparked plenty of great conversations throughout the event.
