SharePoint Online Training (Modern 2026 Edition) is a practical, beginner‑friendly course designed to help users understand and confidently use SharePoint Online as a central content and collaboration platform within Microsoft 365. Participants learn what SharePoint Online is, how it differs from OneDrive and Teams, and how it serves as the foundation for shared files, internal sites, and structured information across the organization.

The course introduces the different types of SharePoint sites, including Team Sites for collaboration, Communication Sites for announcements and publishing, and Hub Sites for organizing and branding related sites. Learners explore how permissions work, how membership is managed—especially when sites are connected to Microsoft Teams—and how to customize site home pages, navigation, and layout using modern web parts.

Participants gain hands‑on experience working with document libraries, including uploading and creating files, co‑authoring in real time, managing versions, applying metadata, creating custom views, and controlling sharing and permissions. The course also covers modern SharePoint Lists for tracking structured data such as issues, assets, and requests, with instruction on creating lists from templates or Excel, customizing columns, formatting views, and automating processes with rules or Power Automate.

Additional topics include creating news posts and events, setting alerts, and understanding modern alternatives to classic wiki pages. For power users, the course introduces advanced features such as content types, site templates, Power Apps forms, Power BI web parts, JSON list formatting, and hub site management. By the end of the course, participants understand how to use SharePoint Online effectively to organize content, support collaboration, and build modern, well‑structured sites that integrate seamlessly with Microsoft 365.
