BBB Techs is hiring a SharePoint Online Migration Business Analyst to support an enterprise-wide content consolidation for a leading global investment firm.
You'll join a 20-person migration program embedded with the firm's business units, owning discovery, requirements, and information architecture decisions from first intake through business sign-off. Your validated requirements become the build specification for the technical migration team.
This is a business analysis role, not an engineering role. Facilitation, structured thinking, and clear, confident communication with stakeholders from department heads to enterprise technology leads come first.

- Rate: $65 to $85/hour (1099/C2C), based on experience. W-2: $55 to $74/hour, no benefits
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Term: Initial 6 months, with potential extensions up to 2 years
- Location: Remote / Hybrid
- Degree: Not required
What You'll Do
- Discovery and source inventory: Work with business units and their technology leads to inventory content across Box, on-premises file shares, and legacy repositories, including volume, ownership, activity, and business criticality.
- Requirements elicitation: Lead workbook-driven working sessions covering content types, metadata, versioning, workflows and automation, and integrations to preserve or redesign.
- Governance and compliance: Capture retention, sensitivity labeling, and DLP requirements aligned to Microsoft Purview, and flag regulated or confidential content for compliance review.
- Access and permissions: Translate legacy folder structures and access models into a least-privilege SharePoint Online model built on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint groups.
- Information architecture: Guide business units through standard site templates, hub association, library structure, navigation, and metadata-versus-folder strategy, and confirm accountable site owners before go-live.
- Validation and sign-off: Deliver clear current-state and future-state findings, reconcile gaps with the program team, and secure formal business sign-off before migration.
- Business-technical liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and the migration team through cutover, user communications, and post-migration validation.
